About the Friends of St Michael's
In conjunction with the priest, parish and people of St Michael's, this Friends Association aims to care for and maintain St Michael's Church and to continue the work of St Michael's in the Ryde Area, by raising funds for the exclusive use of St Michael's Church.
Aims of the Friends
The current main aim for the Friends of St Michael's is to help St Michael's Church raise funds for the considerable building work that is urgently needed. We are very grateful that English Heritage has found a considerable of the amount we originally needed and all the major work is now complete.
However, we estimate that in addition St Michael's will need to find somewhere in the region of £100,000 to repair the church hall and reset the windows. We also need to refurbish the pipe organ. This is all in addition to the normal running costs of the Church, which amount to around £20,000 per year.

Membership is open to anyone who supports the objectives of the Friends of St Michael's.
